All wood pellet products must also meet the following requirements:

  • The amount of additives in production shall be limited to 1,8 %, the amount of post-production additives (e.g. coating oils) shall be limited to 0,2 % of the pellets.
  • Bulk density (BD) (kg/m3): 600 ≤ BD ≤ 750;
  • Net Calorific Value: ≥ 4,6 kWh/kg;
  • Limit for the temperature of pellets at the loading point for end-user deliveries: 40 °C;
  • Arsenic, mg/kg dry basis: ≤ 1,0;
  • Cadmium, mg/kg dry basis: ≤ 0,5;
  • Chromium, mg/kg dry basis: ≤ 10,0;
  • Copper, mg/kg dry basis: ≤ 10,0;
  • Lead, mg/kg dry basis: ≤ 10,0;
  • Mercury, mg/kg dry basis: ≤ 0,1;
  • Nickel, mg/kg dry basis: ≤ 10,0;
  • Zinc, mg/kg dry basis: ≤ 100,0.
