By Resolution No. 1338 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania dated November 7, 2012, “On the Appointment of an Administrator for Funds of Public Interest Services in the Electricity Sector”, BALTPOOL UAB was assigned a special obligation – to carry out the functions of administering funds for public interest services in the electricity sector (hereinafter – VIAP).

In fulfilling this function, BALTPOOL UAB collects, disburses, and administers VIAP funds in accordance with the procedures established by legal acts.

The costs of performing the VIAP fund administration function are compensated not from the state budget, but from the VIAP fund budget, as established by legal acts.
