Updated Delivery Schedule Tool – Another Step Toward Improving the Experience of Exchange Participants

To enhance clarity and reliability in the biomass market, we have updated the delivery schedule tool in the ETS system. This improvement will allow both sellers and buyers to manage planned deliveries more easily, reduce the amount of manual work, and help avoid misunderstandings.

What are the main changes?
  • Delivery schedules will now be automatically generated after a transaction is completed. In the system, delivery schedules should appear approximately one hour after the end of the auction, once the claims submission period has closed. There will no longer be a need to manually fill in or enter schedule data — the system will do it for you, saving time and reducing the risk of errors.
  • Participants will be able to easily modify schedule details — such as changing delivery days, quantities, or the type of supply.
  • Instead of using megawatt-hours (MWh), schedules will now be based on the number of transport vehicles, which better reflects real delivery planning.
  • To ensure data reliability, all schedule changes should be recorded in the ETS system. Agreements made by phone or email will not be considered valid for reliability or dispute resolution purposes.
Why is this important?

The update to delivery schedules is related to changes in the Biomass Exchange Categorization Rules. Timely and accurate execution of supply schedules will become one of the criteria determining a participant’s (biomass supplier’s) category and eligibility to participate in auctions. This will help to:

  • ensure greater market reliability,
  • allow clearer supply flow planning,
  • simplify dispute resolution and reduce error risk.
What Participants Need to Know
  • After a transaction is completed, the delivery schedule is automatically created in the ETS system. By default, the schedule type is set to “Anytime”, meaning that biomass can be delivered on any day of the week and at any time. If you prefer a different delivery mode, go to the “Delivery Schedules” section in the ETS system menu, select “Change Type” and choose the most suitable option:
          – „Gradually“ – deliveries are made with an equal number of transport vehicles each day.
          – „Detailed“deliveries are made only on selected weekdays, specifying the exact number of transport vehicles per day.
  • Accurately entered delivery data and adherence to it during contract execution will have a direct impact on participants’ seller category in the exchange and, accordingly, their market reputation.
  • The tool will ensure clearer accountability between parties and help manage the supply process more smoothly.
