New biomass exchange rates approved
Starting October 1, 2025, new fees will apply to biomass exchange participants for services provided by the biomass exchange operator.
1. From October 1, 2025, the following will come into effect:
- A new variable trading fee applicable only to transactions where biomass is supplied in Lithuania – 0.05914 EUR/MWh (excluding VAT)
- A one-time biomass exchange registration fee for new participants – 300 EUR (excluding VAT). This fee will also apply when rejoining the biomass exchange if participation has been terminated.
2. From January 1, 2026, an annual biomass exchange membership fee of EUR 100/year (excluding VAT) will be established, which will apply to all active biomass exchange participants (i.e., those who have submitted at least one order on the biomass exchange within an 18-month period). If a participant does not plan to engage in active trading on the biomass exchange, they may terminate their participation without paying the annual membership fee.
