During the 2016–2017 heating season, a record amount of biomass – 302,600 TOE – was delivered through the BALTPOOL biomass exchange. Compared to the 2015–2016 winter season, when 228,900 TOE of biomass was sold through the exchange, trade volumes increased by 32.24%.
During the winter season, fuel was delivered under 3,198 transactions, with the value of the delivered fuel amounting to EUR 44.36 million. Transactions were concluded by 62 Lithuanian buyers and 102 Latvian and Lithuanian sellers.
