As preparations for the 2015–2016 heating season are underway, record high activity was recorded in Baltpool Biomass Exchange: in September, contracts for EUR 6.9 million were concluded.

Participants of the Exchange concluded 239 contracts.

Biomass Exchange Baltpool aims to increase transparency in the market for biomass and published trade overview in Biomass Exchange.

As preparations for the 2015–2016 heating season are underway, record high activity was recorded in Baltpool Biomass Exchange: in September, contracts for EUR 6.9 million were concluded.

Participants of the Exchange concluded 239 contracts.

As many as 76% of all contracts concluded accounted for one-week contract.

Biomass supplied under contracts concluded in the Exchange on average cost approximately 113 EUR/TOE, which is 31% cheaper compared to September 2014.

In September, interest in the Biomass Exchange increased: 7 new participants – 3 sellers and 4 buyers – were registered.
